Cinq à Sept’s Spring 2027 collection has a clear denim story: relaxed, slightly slouchy jeans with a polished, feminine New York styling.

The fits include relaxed straight/cropped denim in a medium blue wash. This style features a loose, easy leg with an interesting horizontal partly opened seam around the knee.

Also included are a pair of high-waisted wide-leg jeans. They have a slightly structured, almost trouser-like shape rather than a baggy silhouette. The front seam which is running along the full length of the jeans give your legs a slimmer look.

The interesting part is that Cinq à Sept isn’t treating relaxed denim as purely casual. The jeans are being dressed up with bouclé jackets, delicate blouses and polished accessories.

Summing it up. Cinq à Sept fits the emerging “polished relaxed jean” direction: the leg gets roomier, but the overall look remains feminine and refined.

Fall 2026 isn’t about one dramatic shift—it’s about elevating denim through wash, construction, and styling.

The collections we have previewed suggest that denim is becoming more sophisticated rather than more extreme. The focus has shifted from oversized proportions and heavy destruction toward quality fabrics, thoughtful construction, and versatile silhouettes that can move easily between casual and tailored wardrobes.

Three clear themes have emerged:

Polished denim: dark indigo, clean straight-leg and bootcut fits, and tailored styling.

Craft-driven denim: patchwork, embroidery, raw edges, and subtle distressing.

Refined statement denim: decorative treatments, embellishments.

As for the fits, the fall season is defined less by one silhouette and more by a move toward refined denim with “character”. Instead of a dramatic return to skinny jeans, designers are settling on a middle ground.

This coming fall 2024 we will be seeing lots of “Déjà vu” denim fits, agreed. But there will also be variety of new looks and trends that expand beyond the traditional styles. Mainly, most of what we have seen already will be back with somewhat different details.

Here are some of the standout trends:

1. Oversized and Baggy Fits

• Wide-Leg and Relaxed Silhouettes: Baggy jeans are at the forefront, with wide-leg and loose-fit designs dominating collections. You can read more about baggy jeans here.

2. Embellished and Distressed Denim

3. Denim Skirts and Dresses

• Maxi and Midi Lengths: Denim skirts, particularly in midi and maxi lengths, are making a definite return this fall. Also because denim skirts in a longer length give us a more polished, yet casual look. Perfect for transitioning between seasons​
• Layered and Patchwork Designs: Denim dresses and skirts are also being updated layered with different kinds of fabrics. Or all kinds of patchwork designs, adding texture and visual attention to these classic pieces.

4. Cargo and Utility-Inspired Denim

• Utility Details: Denim is incorporating more utilitarian elements like cargo pockets, belts, and zippers. These details are being integrated into jeans and jackets, providing both style and functionality.
