In celebration of the second annual People’s Choice Country Music Awards, host and country pop icon, Shania Twain, partnered with Levi’s® to kick off the evening in a fully custom, 1-of-1 ensemble to hit the red carpet.
Shania Twain wore a two-piece custom denim gown on the red carpet of the People’s Choice Country Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry, in Nashville, TN. The look was emblazoned with allover luminous blue glass crystal rhinestones and finished with custom matching denim opera gloves.
Together, with her stylist, Greer Heavrin, Shania and Levi’s® thoughtfully collaborated on a custom look inspired by both past and modern Levi’s® silhouettes to celebrate the iconic fabric of Levi’s® jeans, it’s Western-inspired heritage, and its deeply rooted history woven through music, artists, creators, and icons.
The final two-piece custom denim gown and gloves were all hand measured, cut, stitched, and crystallized specially for Shania Twain to create a stand out red carpet moment.
Levi’s® referenced the Levi’s® Denim Bustier Dress, Levi’s® Mermaid Skirt, and Levi’s® Ophelia Corset top, as well as Levi’s® pieces from historic custom looks throughout the years, to create the full-length denim skirt, fit right at the waist for a modern interpretation of the classic mermaid skirt. To elevate and tie the ensemble together, Levi’s® recreated an iconic Western pointed-collar as an ode to the classic Western shirts that epitomize Levi’s® Americana roots and brand DNA.
