Benzak Denim Developers is a denim and lifestyle brand based in Amsterdam, founded in 2013 by Lennaert Nijgh.
The idea behind Benzak began long before the launch. Lennaert was drawn to high-quality raw denim from Japan as a teenager. After studying at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and working in the denim product development industry, he decided to create denim combining Japanese craftsmanship and European sensibility.

Since its beginning in 2013, the brand has expanded into a full lineup, including jeans, jackets, chinos, and more. All designed with attention to cut, fabric, and construction. In fact, their philosophy centers on quality, timeless design, and longevity.
Benzak aims to create garments which transcend trends and seasons, with careful materials selection, solid construction, and balanced styling.

Key aspects of their denim and approach:
Use of high-quality selvedge denim, – Japanese and European denim mills.
Attention to vintage and heritage-inspired details in construction and stitching. There is also a hidden sixth pocket in some jeans.
The brand’s collection includes two lines: The “Made in Japan” premium line, and a more accessible “European Made” (produced in Portugal) line, giving you the options for different budgets while keeping quality high.
Recently, Benzak ha been increasing. sustainability: they developed eco-selvedge denim blends using organic cotton and recycled fibers (post-consumer waste) in collaboration with major mills — showing denim can be both heritage-oriented and more responsible.
