2024 is off to a great start 2024 with Louis Vuitton’s LV Remix, This capsule is a revival of 2000s-era, including the monogrammed denim styles made famous by then-Louis Vuitton creative director, Marc Jacobs. In a statement, Louis Vuitton said the collection “builds upon its iconic legacy, one that is linked to a trend-setting period in culture.”
Marc Jacobs took the helm of Louis Vuitton back in 1997, experiencing a 16-year tenure defined by edge-infused elegance with an eye for disobedience. His Spring/Summer 2001 collection is perhaps his most notorious, collaborating with artist Stephen Sprouse on several graffiti-painted items that altered the clean Louis Vuitton aesthetic.
The brand is paying tribute to Jacobs’ continued impact with this new “LV Remix” collection. The 134-piece collection spans ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear and other small accessories. Each remixed piece pulls inspiration from the brand’s Monogram Vernis, a glossy leather collection launched in 2000, or the Monogram Denim collection from 2005.
The LV Remix capsule includes the Nano Speedy, Papillon, CarryAll MM, Croissant MM, Sunset and Hills Pouchette. Each bag is made with GOTS-certified stonewashed Monogram Denim fabric and is finished with the same gold-color hardware and natural cowhide leather as the original styles.
You can also find platforms, mules, sandals, boots, heels, ballet flats, espadrilles and sneakers, all made with the monogramed denim.
You can shop for the LV Remix collection on the Louis Vuitton website.
