Marques’ Almeida returned to London for its spring 2026 collection. Paolo Almeida and Marta Marques, the design duo behind Marques’ Almeida, showed a Spring 2026 collection rooted in “softness and lightness,” embracing a floatier feeling in “what feels like a potentially volatile moment in time.”

And that very soft- and lightness also shows in the collection’s (very few) denims. We definitely felt that. at least for Spring 2026, the brand moved away from their original denim and leathers to a more floaty and feminine approach.
Almeida confirms: “We just wanted to make it a different kind of emotion than we tend to use.”
Fingers crossed for their next seasons collections. Hopefully Marques’ Almeida will return to their denim roots once again. After all, this is what made the brand become so well known for!
See below the denim looks in Marques’ Almeida’s Spring 2026 collection:
Denim Corsetry & Structured Bodices
Denim top with boning or structured seams, resembling a corset or fitted bustier blouse. It’s more sculpted than relaxed denim, using seams and panels to shape. Paired with full skirts or looser bottoms for contrast. The play between structure and flow is strong.

Acid Wash and Heavy Texture Effects
Washes are pronounced – acid or heavily treated denim seems to be favored. Lots of texture effects are achieved by fading, whiskering, and contrasting.
Marques’ Almeida doesn’t shy away from strong, visible washes. The kind that makes denim stand out almost like jewelry rather than just a neutral base.

Denim Dresses
Think structured bodice, maybe peplum or ruffle details. There’s a move toward full outfits in denim rather than just denim as a component.

Summing it up, this collection seems to shift from raw, rugged denim to something more romantic. Bold, but still wearable. Even with all that structure and acid washes, there’s a softness mixed in: lighter tones, more fluid silhouettes, layering that softens the edge (overshirts, loose sleeves, ruffles).
