The Y/Project fall/winter 2023 collection is mostly about denim – remastered in countless iterations.
Y/Project’s Glenn Martens, who is currently also the creative director of Diesel, really proved that there is denim “beyond” denim.
Vertically patched together with multiple seams creating bulbous volumes, as distressed embroidery embellishing sweats, tweed coats, floor grazing chiffon gowns and regal denim-on-denim kaftans alike – as intricately wrought as that of Chanel’s famous tweeds, the métiers d’art atelier Lesage.

And not only the denim jackets and jeans, but bags too, came in twisted denim, shaped with interior wire, another classic Y/Project motif, or with denim embroidery featuring the Y/Project coat of arms complete with the Eiffel Tower.
