Dark wash jeans are experiencing a resurgence this fall and winter. A welcome change after a summer of light wash and ripped/distressed jeans.
Dark washes in denim have always been a classic choice, both as a sophisticated and a super versatile option. Dark blue jeans offer a polished look that can easily transition from casual to dressy, making them a staple for cooler seasons.
And the little “extra” right now is doing your jeans in an oversized fit. And cuff them at the ankles. The width of the cuffs is entirely up to you. Either one wide cuff, or you can also cuff them several ways like we did with our boyfriend jeans back then!
And we would also like to point out once again that unisex. genderless, is really a thing. Actually, with the fits these days being all about over- and uber-sized, we do recommend our female readers to check out some of the men’s styles as well.
We suggest A.P.C. Petit Standard Jeans – a perfect unisex style.
Also, when considering dark wash jeans, these can be raw or in deep indigo washes. And – of course – there’s always unwashed and untreated selvedge denim.
This fall, most denim brands have included dark wash options as part of their core collections this season. Have a look at some of our favorites below.
