Bootcut jeans are one of the strongest women’s denim silhouettes for this coming Fall and Winter 2026.

Rather than dramatic Y2K flares, the trend is centered on slim-through-the-knee jeans with a subtle kick flare, often called the “mini bootcut.”

Designers have been driving this silhouette back onto the runway, and we see it as a natural evolution from wide-leg denim.

Key elements are dark indigo and clean rinses. Full-length hems that skim the top of boots. High- and mid-rise waists. And definitely a slight flare rather than exaggerated bell bottoms. Which also makes sense during the colder seasons. WHo wants to drag their flares on a muddy and snow-covered street?!

The overall look is cleaner and more refined than the oversized baggy and wide-leg trend, making bootcuts one of the easiest silhouettes to dress up or down for all occasions.
