These past couple of months we’ve been to dozens of previews, watched some amazing fashion shows, checked new lookbooks. And yes, lived through another amazing and super exciting fashion week.
And the one thing that got most stuck in our denim head and heart was that it was all about uber- and oversized. Yes, we’ve all done baggy and boyfriend jeans before. But now it’s gone way and beyond. What you previously thought of being oversized is considered “slim fitting” in the fashion world these days.
Meaning you really want to go all the way: waistband about wide enough to slide down your hips and held up with a – preferably – super cool designer belt. The legs as wide as you can possibly imagine. And the inseam, oh man, dragging on the floor isn’t doing it. You’ll have to able to absolutely step on the hem (picture from our previously feature about Y/Project’s fall collection below).
So we’ve searched online and in stores to find the best baggy, slouchy, and oversized jeans available to purchase right now. And remember, if you want to go real “uber”, you can always go up one or two sizes.
