Red Cloud & Co. is a lesser-known but highly respected denim / workwear brand, especially among raw denim enthusiasts. Based in Shenyang, China, they emphasize quality craftsmanship, heritage, and strong local production.

Red Cloud & Co. sources their cotton from Xinjiang, China. Their jeans are produced using older – vintage sewing machinery, which gives the denim that special classic feel.

The denim collection is made of raw, unsanforized denim which is expected to shrink. Also included are vintage- or age-washed styles with patches and rusted buttons, the F-Series:

“F’ for Fade – that’s the essence of our iconic ‘F-series.’ Think vintage-washed charm, patch repairs, and intentional use of pink sewing threads for that perfect aged look. Initially planned with this aesthetic in mind, our collection has evolved to include one-washed and raw denim. Yet, the concept for F-series remains unwavering – a tribute to the timeless allure of fading and authenticity.”

For vintage jeans lovers, there is the brand’s ST’ Collection :

“Born from extensive study and observations of original vintage jeans. We’re talking natural rust stains, crease marks, and random spots that developed over years of storage. ‘ST’ stands for ‘storage,’ but it’s more than that – it’s a rebellious embrace of authenticity. We didn’t just replicate those imperfections; we strategically placed them in the exact areas for that rebellious edge. Every detail is a crafted ticket to transport you back to that bygone era.”

“Explore the soul of vintage jeans with Red Cloud. Our meticulous study of every stitch and technique breathes life into the timeless passion behind these old denim treasures. From sewing methods to machines, we revive the era, offering a collection that’s more than clothing – it’s a journey through the artistry of the past. Step into history, wear the story.”

So, if you’re a denim enthusiast, Red Cloud is definitely worth considering. Their heritage-inspired cuts, selvedge fabric, and craftsmanship are strong. Also to be considered is that they strike a good balance. Premium denim feel without necessarily having “Japanese-level” pricing.

And if you want something niche and, their models like the 1947s, 1950s straight, or heavy and unsanforized jeans are perfect for fade chasers and workwear lovers.

Remember, when going for raw denim, you need to consider shrinkage, so better to sizes up from your regular size.

Each model has a size chart which makes it easier to know your size:

The measurement chart shows the measurements of post-soaked and/or-washed (shrunken) product.
