Chanel is introducing a new accessory – part watch, part wired headphones – linked together with the brand’s trademark chain.
The collaboration is about the luxury brand and Lily-Rose Depp with headphones/necklace/watch wearing a super cute denim skirt! The reason why Chanel chose Lily-Rose is because she is one of the celebs bringing wired headphones back into fashion, as noted by Vogue and documented by the wireditgirls Instagram account.
The Première Sound Watch is a quartz watch with an 18k gold-coated woven steel chain and can be worn as an oversized necklace. It comes with a pair of wired earbuds providing high-quality sound which can also be used separately from the watch.
Chanel’s newest jewelry watch adds a third dimension with high-tech audio, making it a luxury product with an immersive visual and sound experience for the wearer.
It’s the latest interpretation of Chanel’s Première Édition Originale jewelry watch, based on the first Chanel watch, the Première, introduced in 1987, featuring an octagonal-shaped case, inspired by the stopper of the N°5 fragrance perfume bottle, and the flexible necklace based on the chained shoulder strap for the iconic Chanel bag.
The new jewelry watch is “boldly connected to the present, capturing the moment and the movement of life” according to the brand’s statement.
The Première Sound Watch will be available to buy at selected Chanel boutiques beginning of September 2024.
